Reports suggest that more than 40,000 Afghans eligible for Special Immigrant Visas (SIV) are now in limbo due to this decision. These individuals are currently in various countries, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, and Albania, awaiting their transfer to the U.S.
