At least 66 children have died from malnutrition in Gaza since the onset of the ongoing conflict, according to health authorities in the besieged Palestinian territory. Officials attribute the rising death toll to Israel’s continued blockade, which has severely restricted the entry of food supplies, infant formula, and essential nutritional aid.

In a statement released Saturday, Gaza’s Government Media Office condemned the worsening humanitarian crisis, highlighting the critical shortage of food and medicine caused by tightened Israeli restrictions.

Intensified Attacks Compound Crisis

The malnutrition deaths come as Israeli military operations escalate across Gaza. Local sources report that at least 60 more Palestinians were killed in the past 24 hours, including 20 civilians in the heavily bombarded Tuffah neighborhood of Gaza City.

Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly warned that the ongoing siege is pushing Gaza’s civilian population, especially children, toward catastrophic levels of hunger and deprivation.

Call for Immediate Humanitarian Access

International agencies and aid groups continue to call for unimpeded access to Gaza to deliver life-saving supplies. However, aid convoys remain blocked or delayed at border crossings, compounding the humanitarian emergency.
