In a recent Facebook post, Pashtun leader Mazoor Ahmad Pashteen strongly condemned the ongoing violence and oppression against the Pashtun people, drawing comparisons with Israeli actions in Palestine and Iran.
He wrote:
“While Israel continues its brutal aggression against Palestinians and Iran, Pakistan’s Punjabi generals are relentlessly persecuting innocent Pashtuns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Despite the killing of 86,000 Pashtuns, these oppressive policies remain unchanged.”
Pashteen further highlighted recent incidents of violence:
“In South Waziristan’s Makeen area, an airstrike on a home injured four children and killed one. In Central Kurram’s Torghar Masozai region, mortar shelling resulted in the death of three children and injuries to two others.”
He also criticized the economic exploitation of Pashtun lands:
“After seizing control of the mineral resources and lands of the Pashtuns, new large-scale business deals have been signed with the United States.”
Calling for greater resistance, Pashteen urged Pashtun youth to remain resilient:
“Young Pashtuns must resist this colonialism and its local agents. They must not allow defeatist narratives, disinformation, or false claims to influence our society. Instead, they should further strengthen the spirit of resistance.”
He concluded by warning the oppressors:
“The enemy’s current advantage is temporary. They are moving toward a disastrous end. Only through our unwavering commitment, continuous resistance, and high morale can we bring an end to this tyranny.”
