KABUL – Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA), Amir Khan Muttaqi, departed Kabul on Saturday for the Islamic Republic of Iran to participate in the Tehran Dialogue Forum, which is scheduled to take place from May 17 to 19.
According to Hafiz Zia Ahmad, Deputy Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muttaqi is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Abdul Latif Nazari, Deputy Minister of Economy.
During his visit, Minister Muttaqi will not only attend the forum sessions but is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other senior Iranian officials. These discussions are expected to focus on strengthening political and economic relations, enhancing regional cooperation, and addressing mutual concerns related to trade, transit, and Afghan refugees in Iran.
