In a continued effort to promote peace and stability in the region, Uzbekistan and Poland have held high-level diplomatic talks centered on cooperation related to Afghanistan, according to a report by Trend News Agency.
The meeting brought together Ismatulla Irgashev, the Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, and Witold Sobkow, the Special Representative for Afghanistan from Poland’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Also present was Marek Całka, Deputy Director of the Eastern Department at the Polish Foreign Ministry.
The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, exchanging views on the evolving situation in Afghanistan, and exploring ways to enhance Uzbek-Polish engagement in support of regional security and humanitarian goals.
Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to sustained, constructive dialogue on Afghanistan’s future, agreeing to continue consultations regularly as part of a broader diplomatic effort.
