Kabul, May 3, 2025 – The U.S. Department of State has officially opened the Diversity Visa (DV) Lottery 2025 results checking portal. Starting today, individuals who applied for the DV Lottery between October and November 2024 can now check their application status online.
The Diversity Visa Program, also known as the Green Card Lottery, offers a pathway for immigrants from countries with low rates of immigration to the United States. Each year, up to 55,000 immigrant visas are made available to randomly selected individuals from eligible countries, including Afghanistan.

- Confirmation number received after submitting your application.
- Your last name (exactly as entered during registration).
- Your year of birth.
