The Afghanistan A cricket team emerged victorious in a dominant performance against Ireland A, winning by an innings and 194 runs in their four-day Test match held in the United Arab Emirates.
The match, which concluded today (Thursday), saw Afghanistan A post an impressive 612 runs in their first innings. In response, Ireland A could only manage 309 runs in their first innings, followed by a mere 109 runs in their second innings, resulting in a heavy defeat.
After winning the toss in Abu Dhabi, Afghanistan A elected to bat first. They scored a massive 612 runs, losing just seven wickets in the process. Baheer Shah was the star of the innings, scoring a brilliant 187 runs. Other key contributions came from Riaz Hassan (94), Imran (85), Shamsur Rahman (84), Afsar Zazai (55), and Darwish Rasooli (53).
This victory marks a significant achievement for Afghanistan A as they prepare for future international competitions.
